Local chairs and local cheese

Olde Bell visitors can enjoy home roasted spiced nuts or cheese straws at the bar with a pint of the local Rebellion ale, organic ginger beer and traditional lemonade or an eldeflower fizz. Bar food is available from noon until 10pm. From ploughmans lunches, afternoon teas to more substantial meals.

At the Crown, we set out to reinstate its sense of place and connection to the community. In the bar sits a replica painting, by a local artist, of a Coat of Arms commemorating the meeting place of the Amersham Court of Petty Sessions at the Crown during the reign of Queen Elizabeth until 1879, the original was damaged in the 1935 fire. Using country materials such as rush matting, traditional plaster made from lime and horsehair, and chairs from the Ercol factory in High Wycombe.
